Why should heterosexual marriages be not banned?

·      Infidelity of wives is blasphemous but OK for men

·      Domestic violence of women

·      Marital rape

·      Husbands force themselves on wives who are not supposed to express their sexual desires.

·      Dowry demand leading to dowry deaths

·      Not letting wives lead independent lives

·      Even educated employable wives are forced to be 'domesticated'

·      Heterosexual marriages only ensure Patriarchy reigns supreme, male child is born; private property is passed onto male progeny.

·      This has given rise to sex determination test industry. This is genocide of female children.

·      Heterosexual marriage as we know is a few thousand years old social institution. Who knows it will die its natural death in a millennium. Why not cut short it's agony?

·      In fact, all couples – heterosexual or homosexual – could enter into a civil contract, duly registered in which both members of this union could have absolute equal rights.
